Logo

Logo is a symbol or other small design adopted by an organization to identify its products,uniform,vehicles etc.

Example :

Icon

Computer science picture on a screen that represents a specific file,directory,window,option or program.

Example:

Website

Virtual location on WWW,containing several subject or company related webpage.

Example:

Stationery

Stationery means writing and office supplies.

Example:

Advertisement is a means of communication with the users of a product or service.

Example:

Book Design

Book design is the art of incorporating the content style,format,and design of the various components of a book

Brochure

A small book or magazine containing picture and information about a product of service : Handbill,Catalogue and so on

Billboard is a large outdoor board for displaying advertisements.

Product Packaging

· Packaging is the science,art,and technology of enclosing or protection products for distribution,storage,sale,and use.Packaging also refers to the process of design,evaluation and production of packages.

Poster usually printed for announcement or advertisement.

Greeting Card

A folded card bearing a message of greeting,congratulation or other sentiment,usually sent or given on a special occasion or holiday.

Shape

The three basic shape types are Geometric (circles,squares,triangles), Natural (leaves,tree,people) and Abstract (icon,graphic representations).

Line

Line in graphic,can be used for a wide range of purposes stressing a word or phrase,connecting content,creating patterns and more.

Color

Color is used to generate emotions,define importance and create visual interest.

Texture

Texture relates to the surface of an object. Using texture in graphic design adds and visual interest.

Typo/Type

Type in graphic design,the goal is to not to just place some text on a page,but rather to understand and use it effectively for communication.

Art,Illustration and Photography

Photography,illustration and artwork are used to tell stories,support idea, and grab the audience's attention.

· Dato’ Chuah Kooi Yong is one of the most active Malaysian artist today. Apart from having been involved in the development and growth of his artistic career, he is also an educator in the arts where he is currently the principal of the Equator Academy of Art and Design in Penang while being involved in the corporate industry of design where he practices his skills as an Interior and Graphic Designer at the D’Elegance Design company.

ASHLY NANDONG

· Ashly Nandong is an emerging Malaysian artist, who studies the Borneo traditional ’Sapeh’ lute, traditional Dayak dance (performs dances of the Iban and Orang Ulu sub-ethnic Dayak people group of Sarawak) and is a self-thought contemporary visual artist incorporating Dayak designs which he inherits and continues to promote through his artistic endeavours.
